TEAC Industry-Awarded Expertise in Pipeline Freeze Protection

The results of the Science and Technology Innovators Competition have been officially announced. Following a call for project submissions, preliminary and secondary reviews by experts, an on-site final round, and multiple rounds of public notice, TEAC Industries’ “Research Project on the Application of Self-Developed Anti-Freezing Technology for Water Supply and Drainage Pipelines Along Railway Tracks in Cold Regions” won second prize in the competition.

Organized by the Association for Science and Technology, this competition is a highly prestigious science and technology innovation event. Leveraging the R&D platform of the Key Laboratory of Rapid Return Valves, this project addressed the challenge of frozen blockages in railway water supply and drainage pipelines in extremely cold regions. It developed a tailored vacuum anti-freeze solution for low-temperature operating conditions along railway lines, effectively resolving the pain points of frozen pipe ruptures and service disruptions in cold-region rail transit systems. The technology can be widely applied to various fluid conveyance systems in railways, municipal infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

The laboratory maintains ongoing collaboration with universities and research institutions, integrating innovation resources from industry, academia, and research to bridge the entire chain from technological R&D and commercialization to product deployment, thereby providing robust scientific support for the company’s continuous production of high-performance anti-freeze equipment. The award-winning technology has undergone real-world validation and is suitable for rail transit infrastructure projects in high-latitude and extremely cold regions, demonstrating significant potential for promotion both domestically and internationally.
